It comes with sadness that I have to report that Mayor Emily Jones was found dead outside the hospital after a recent stay there.
Her body was discovered, this morning, directly below her room on the fifth floor she had been staying in.
It is unclear at this time, what has happened. The hospital has been cordoned off for forensic investigation. The South wing will remain off limits until the investigation has concluded.
The police have yet to make a statement on this incident..
It was on Friday 8th May, Emily Jones took the majority count as the recent elections, ending former Mayor - Reginald J Windham - controversial run in office. The Election Committee will decide what happens now.
